Short Answer

Anna Paulina Luna is expected to mention "Republican" during the RNC Midterm Convention, priced at 99.0%.

1. Market Behavior & Drivers

The contract collapsed 77 percentage points on September 9, the day Representative Anna Paulina Luna spoke at the RNC Midterm Convention. The drop from 78% to 1% coincided with her remarks, indicating the market resolved to "NO" after she concluded her speech, presumably without making the mention required by the market's terms. The significant volume behind the move signals this was the market's primary resolution event.
A sharp spike from 4% to near 79% occurred just prior to the speech. The provided context explicitly states that a price move of this magnitude around this date was related to a separate market on Luna's FL-13 general election chances, not her convention remarks. No other development coincides with the run-up in price for this contract, leaving the rally unexplained.
  • "Corrupt" and "Congress" are likely given Luna's advocacy for an insider trading ban.
  • "Democrat" is likely due to Luna's criticism of former Democratic Speaker Pelosi.
  • "Republican" and "corruption" reflect Luna's alignment with national party priorities.

Current Context

Representative Anna Paulina Luna spoke at the 2026 RNC Midterm Convention. Representative Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) delivered remarks at the Republican National Committee’s first-ever midterm convention, held September 9–10, 2026, in Dallas, Texas [1][2]. Luna was a scheduled speaker and a featured participant at the event [1][3][4][5][6][7][8]. Footage from the convention confirms her address [3].
The convention aimed to energize the MAGA base for midterms. This RNC Midterm Convention operated as a rally and fundraiser, intended to energize the MAGA base for the 2026 midterm elections, rather than a traditional nominating convention [2][9]. Some characterized the event as a "Trump-a-Palooza" [9]. President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance delivered keynote addresses [4][5][6][7][10][11].

📉 September 09, 2026: 77.0pp drop

Price decreased from 78.0% to 1.0%

Outcome: Trump

What happened: The web research indicates no verifiable evidence for a 77.0 percentage point drop in the prediction market outcome "Trump" related to Anna Paulina Luna's statements at the RNC Midterm Convention on September 9, 2026 [1]. While Luna did criticize Senate Majority Leader John Thune at the convention [2], and President Trump was a key speaker [3], there are no reports of any social media activity or traditional news announcements causing such a significant market movement concerning Trump [3]. Polling data from around September 2026 also shows no comparable decline in Trump's approval ratings [4]. Therefore, social media was irrelevant, as the reported price movement lacks factual basis in the provided information.

📈 September 08, 2026: 75.0pp spike

Price increased from 4.0% to 79.0%

Outcome: Trump

What happened: The "75.0 percentage point spike" is explicitly unrelated to the prediction market "What will Anna Paulina Luna say during RNC Midterm Convention?" concerning "Trump" mentions on September 8, 2026 [5]. This figure refers to Anna Paulina Luna's implied probability of winning the FL-13 general election reaching 75% following the Democratic primary result in late August 2026 [5]. Therefore, no primary driver can be identified for the described price movement in the specified "Trump" mention market, as the movement itself is misattributed. While Luna did publicly criticize Mark Cuban for comments regarding women who support President Trump around September 8, 2026 [6], this social media activity cannot be linked to the non-existent spike in the target market.
